The Emirati Autism Center, established through support from the United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Kurdistan Regional Government, provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic services for children on the autism spectrum. Its work includes individualized education plans, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, behavior intervention, and family support, with an emphasis on early identification and intervention.

SCADD’s CEO Mohammad Abu Dalhoum and senior team members met with the center’s leadership to discuss best practices in service delivery, specialized staff training, and strategies for building local professional capacity in the autism field.

“Partnerships that prioritize knowledge-sharing and skills development will have the greatest impact on the quality of services available to children and families,” said a representative of the Emirati Autism Center.

Both organizations agreed to explore avenues for cooperation in program development, manpower training, and awareness initiatives—aiming to expand access to evidence-based autism services and strengthen the professional workforce in the Kurdistan Region.
