Edwina American Academy and SCADD Explore Strategic Partnership in Specialized Training

SCADD and Edwina American Academy explore a strategic partnership to deliver ABA, SLP, OT, and CBT professional training programs in the Kurdistan Region.
Erbil – July 29, 2025 – The Scientific Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders (SCADD) met with Mr. Mohammad Rashad, Chief Executive Officer of Edwina American Academy, and Ms. Jina Avdal, the school’s founder, to discuss a strategic partnership aimed at expanding specialized professional training in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting was attended by SCADD’s Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Abu Dalhoum, accompanied by senior members of the SCADD delegation Dr. Mohammad Iqneibi, Director of Business Development and Marketing and Dr. Kani Osman, PhD SCADD Kurdistan Program Director, and. The team presented SCADD’s vision for advancing evidence-based training in clinical and educational fields, and how such programs could be integrated into Edwina’s academic ecosystem.
Edwina American Academy is recognized for delivering a high-quality international curriculum and fostering an innovative learning environment. Its mission includes preparing students for academic success while promoting a culture of inclusion and global citizenship.

The proposed collaboration would merge Edwina’s educational infrastructure with SCADD’s expertise in clinical and therapeutic training. Planned courses include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), targeting both aspiring and practicing professionals who work with children with neurological and psychological disorders.
“We are eager to partner with institutions that bring both academic and clinical excellence to the table, as this will help us serve our community more effectively,” said Ms. Jina Avdal.​

Both parties agreed to begin joint planning for the implementation of these programs, with the goal of establishing training opportunities that meet international standards while addressing local needs for skilled professionals.
